Operation Rescue Branches Out

A typically hysterical press release from Operation Save America:

"CHARLOTTE, NC, April 6 /Christian News Wire/ -- Operation Save America, formerly known as Operation Rescue, will conduct a press conference at South Rowan High School to expose Glesen’s (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network) sinister objectives to cut parents and teachers, who do not agree with the radical homosexual agenda, out of the lives of their children and to paint them all with the broad brush of bigotry.

"The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) has made its way into the South Rowan High School in Rowan County, North Carolina. That’s Right! Young and very naïve high school kids are being used by GLSEN to spread its agenda of hatred toward God, parents, and teachers.

"GLSEN so frames the argument that it appears that homosexuality, bisexuality, and transgender identity will become the next great human rights and civil rights campaign. This is a lie from the pit of hell! A moral wrong must never become a civil “right.”

"Homosexuality is not only out of the closet and parading its sin publicly in the hallways of South Rowan, it demands all bow down and be subject to it, or be sued. Friends, if we do not fight this battle now when we have a good chance of winning in Jesus’ Name, we may find ourselves having to fight when there is little or no hope of victory, realizing that it is better to die free than live under the bondage of homosexual slavery.

"It is time for God’s Church to rise up, come out of the closet, and confront this giant in the Name of Jesus Christ. The theology of the Church must become biography in the streets.

"“Will someone remind me again just how the radical homosexual agenda has free reign in our high schools, while Jesus has been expelled from school and banished from the school yard?” Rev. Flip Benham, Operation Save America"
Yeah, it really does end like that, right in the middle of a sentence - as if the writer suddenly ran out of crazy. But don't let that fool you; they've got plenty of crazy to go around.

Operation Save America is a hate group, originally formed by Randall Terry as Operation Rescue. You might remember Terry as one of the ringmasters in the circus of idiots that formed around Terri Schiavo's hospice. Yeah, those fools...

Media Matters tells us:

"In 1988, Terry and his legions started standing in front of local abortion clinics, screaming and pleading with pregnant women to turn away. They tossed their bodies against car doors to keep abortion patients from getting out. They waved crucifixes and screamed "Mommy, Mommy" at the women. When Terry commanded, hundreds went jellyfish-limp and blockaded the "death clinics."

"In 1989, a "Holy Week of Rescue" shut down a family planning clinic in Los Angeles. More than 40,000 people were arrested in these demonstrations over four years. Subtlety wasn't Terry's thing -- he described Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, as a "whore" and an "adulteress" and arranged to have a dead fetus presented to Bill Clinton at the 1992 Democratic National Convention."
But nothing can be as damning as his own words; "Let a wave of intolerance wash over you.... Yes, hate is good.... Our goal is a Christian nation. ... We have a biblical duty, we are called by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism. ... Theocracy means God rules. I've got a hot flash. God rules."

And these SFBs want to tell people that gays are evil. I don't hate these people, but that doesn't mean they don't make me very, very angry...

You haven't irritated me yet, but I just started reading. Keep up the great commentary!

Greetings,

You're irritating but safe in Wisconsin. I've never actually shot fish in a barrel but I'm told it's easy.

We've got our hands full with some local/state challenges so my irritation scale returned to normal when I noticed the post about Kohl.

What exactly has he got to loose? So thanks for asking where he is.

Oh, we all should point a gun at the fish in the barrel, too. It's soooo satisfying to actually have some success.
