"Egads! He's Vanished!"

Picked up this from The Portage Daily Register:

"Hundreds of students and teachers, and their families and friends, sat down Saturday to have lunch at Portage High School for the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation. Among them was the Wisconsin senator himself, chatting and eating until he took the stage to address the group.

"The Educational Foundation has been awarding grants since 1990. Each year 100 students, 100 teachers and 100 schools receive a $1,000 award for excellence or initiative (an additional group of students are awarded grants for overcoming adversity)."
Very, very laudible. As I said in an earlier post, Kohl's been a great philanthropist for Wisconsin. But his special talent didn't come up until later...

"On the question of the proposal by fellow Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold to censure Bush, Kohl said he didn't have enough information to make a decision yet.

"'(I) have to evaluate the evidence and make the best decision I can," he said, citing ongoing hearings on the subject."
Herb, what's to evaluate? The president admitted that he did it... But look, he's changing!

Ye Hon. Herbert Kohl,
being the
Astounding Vanishing Senator!

Be there any Talk of Censure,
The Senator Becomes as Glass - Not to Be Seen!
