Pity the Poor Victims

War on christians? OpEdnews.com comments on a Washington Post story debunking the idea of a 'war on christians'. Included are quotes from some of these poor, defenseless, crystal flowers of righteousness, so unfairly set upon by the vast hordes of the godless.

Here are a few of my favorites:

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."
--Ann Coulter

“We are approaching a time when Christians, especially, may have to declare the social contract between Enlightenment rationalists and Biblical believers - which formed the basis of the constitution written at our nation’s founding - null and void.”
--Cal Thomas

“We’re fighting against humanism, we’re fighting against liberalism...we are fighting against all the systems of Satan that are destroying our nation today...our battle is with Satan himself.”
--Jerry Falwell

“No, I don’t know that atheists should be considered citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God.”
--George Bush Sr.

Like one reader wrote in a comment to one of my posts, it's fun to shoot fish in a barrel. I admit, these people aren't exactly moving targets, but that doesn't mean they don't belong in the shootin' gallery.

Besides, this way I get to post the cool sign I made at ChurchSignGenerator.com. Make your own, go forth, and spread evil.
